Review and Interview with the Author Teresa Treadway Gabelman

The Protectors: Damon By Teresa Gabelman

The Protectors Damon:
Damon DeMasters is a vampire warrior who has taken an oath to not only protect his own kind, but humans as well. Crimson Rush is the new drug and it’s their duty to find who is behind the selling of vampire blood and stop it. As a social worker, Nicole Callahan fights for the right of every child placed in her care. There’s a war now as vampires have stepped out into the spotlight taking their place in society and the children are at the heart of it all. Damon and his fellow warriors have been ordered by the Vampire Council to train Nicole and her colleagues against the dangers they now face in their new world. Even as sparks fly and tensions mount, Nicole and Damon depend on each other to protect the children of both races.

About Teresa Gabelman:
She is a working mother of a 17-year-old son, wife to her high school sweetie and peacemaker of her two mischievous mutts. She is a fan of mixed martial arts, is a third degree black belt in Taekwondo and watches way too much reality TV. Books that are fast reads filled with romance, humor, butt kicking men and women who can keep up with them are her favorite. Always having a story banging around in her head demanding to be told, she hopes to take you from your reality if only for an hour or two.

I had the awesome chance to ask Teresa Gabelman a few question's about her book The Protectors Damon. You Rock Teresa Gabelman!!!

What made you Decide to write this story?

I have always had a love for vampires, even the scary ones. My brother, who is 11 years older than me, use to make me watch all the old scary movies. I have written other things, but in the back of my mind Damon kept coming to the front wanting to be told.

I Love Damon and Nicole's Character in the book, what made you decide on Nicole's Character?

I loved writing Nicole's character. I wanted her to be tough, but still need help from a hot sexy man. Humor is important to me for a character also. Nicole had some good comebacks and could handle herself when it came to her boss and the warriors.

What was the hardest part of the book to write?

Damon's book was actually easy for me. It just came, which was wonderful. Jared's book has been harder for me to write. Especially Tessa's character. I loved Nicole so much I found myself writing her in Nicole's character and that just wasn't good. Now I have finally found a voice for Tessa's and it's a good one.

Was it hard to come up with the character's in Damon?

Not at all. I actually really loved Nicole's boss Mitch. He cracked me up. When I write I try to write characters that I would like to hang with and that makes them easier for me to write.

What made you decide to start writing?

I have always loved to read and will read pretty much anything. Even as a little chick I had a very vivid imagination. I spent quite a bit of time in the hospital when I was young so I had a lot of time doing nothing but daydreaming. So after reading and waiting for my favorite authors to write more I decided to give writing a try and absolutely loved it.

Would you ever write anything beside's Paranormal?

Actually I am planning on doing a young adult after this series is finished that is not going to be paranormal, but paranormal will always be my thang. LOL!

Well there be anything exciting in the next book that we won't be able to put the book down like the protectors Damon?

Man I hope so. HA! That is my ultimate goal. I love when readers tell me that they couldn't put something I wrote down. I think that is the ultimate words a author could ever hear. I think the ending of Jared's book is going to surprise everyone.

Well there be any Characters from Protectors Damon in Jared beside's Jared?

Oh yeah. They all make an appearance...some more than others, but they will all be in the next two.

My Review

I had an opportunity to read The Protectors Damon from the lovely author Teresa Treadway Gabelman who is an amazing person,  May I say once I started this book I couldn't put it down i had to know what happen next. Nicole is a social worker  who cares so much for the children she would do anything to  keep them safe.  She meets Damon the vampire warrior who helps train her to get strong and so she can protect herself and all through it her and Damon hits it off with each other sparks fly's between them. Nicole is one of those person's who sets her mind to something and has to get it done. You need to read this book its really awesome!!
