Guest Post:
Fans have asked the following question often and usually I keep this little bit of information to myself, but I love you guys too much to see your disappointed faces.  “Lilyann Moon, who is this character based on?”

The answer is both simple and complex at the same time.  She is a combination of people in my life and complete strangers.  A lot of her quirks and fears come from me.  Her coffee obsession... sound familiar?  She has to have one hot and one cold coffee at all times.  That is totally me (my hubby is indulgent when it comes to me)!  The lip biting, I’m guilty of that one as well.  The fear that Lilyann bottles up inside of her over so many things, another one of my qualities.  She comes off as someone who is confident, but actually on the inside she and I are both horribly insecure.  Basically, all of her flaws are my flaws as well.

Her love, compassion, and her “martyrdom” when it comes to her family is something acquired from my mother.  Physically, she created herself.  Her hair, eyes, and body frame just kind of happened the way that she wanted.  Her name is... well that happened because of my family.  My great-grandmother, grandmother and aunt all carry the Lillian name.  They were always called Lily.  I knew that, that would be her name, but I wanted something a little different because SHE is so different.  I combined My mom’s name Maryann, with the other amazing women in my family and there you have it :)

One quality that people ask me about constantly is Lilyann’s “jump first, check the situation later”.  To be totally honest, that came about from a total stranger.  I was at a park one day and a man snatched a woman’s purse.  Another woman who was standing a few feet away, without thinking of her safety, ran after the purse thief and tackled him to the ground.  Seeing what was happening men in the area, assisted the heroic woman until the police arrived.  But, that moment stuck with me and I knew that I wanted Lilyann to possess that same quality.

There you have it.  The ‘hows’ and ‘whys’ as to who Lilyann was based on :)

About The Author:

Okay, so I'm supposed to tell you about me...
Seriously, if I wrote a book about myself it would take you ten minutes to read and you would be bored stiff after the first two! LOLI'm a full-time writer, wife, and mother. Which basically means there's always a surplus of pencils lost somewhere in my hair, I usually have some place to be (I'm always late), I have a bad habit of calling family and friends random character's names (from my books), I talk to myself because no one else listens to me, and I can throw together a mean dinner for eight with only ten minutes notice and four ingredients in the pantry, LOL.
If you can't find me on the sidelines of my sons' football games, online, cooking, cleaning, shopping, at the local coffee joint or on the phone wandering aimlessly throughout my house then I've probably hidden myself in my "bat-cave" to write.
I have a positive attitude, and absolute fun-loving approach to life. That makes it easy for the voices in my head to take over on a regular basis providing endless hours of entertainment for my pleasure, and hopefully yours.
Random facts about me:
~My favorite color is pink
~I have a Bishon Frise puppy named Cullen Edward
~My favorite music is hip-hop
~I have a severe addiction to coffee. So much so, that those in my inner circle refuse to speak to me before caffeine O'clock! True Story
Enjoy the ride.
~K.B. xoxo
